About AKAKUMO

AKAKUMO is a little nick to identifie myself in a world full of Karens and Ka-Yings.

I’ve came up with this name because I often come up with ideas for my drawing under the time when clouds turn red in the afternoon.

It’s partly derived from “akagumo” meaning red cloud, and kumo = cloud in Japanese. Also for Karen, the “ren” sounds similiar to cloud in Chinese. So it was supposed to be a.k.a kumo, simplifed it to akakumo.

Behind blog AKAKUMO it’s me, Karen. Just likes to draw particular thoughts, things I see, and stuff I’ve encountered. Most of them are toward the happier, cheerful side of life. Really why depress yourself even more in your own creative world when many things in the real world is bad enough.

The blog will also have me mucking around in my daily life. Little hints of where I’ve got my motivations and ideas for my illos. Also I’ll be recording some very impressive people and things along the way (hopefully) !

Take Care~!
