Cartoon and Anime just dont mix

Lately I see a less and less of the more kiddy, traditional cartoons and more on those “anime wannabes” cartoons lerking on TV.

Stuff like Gerald McBoing Boing, Lu Lu or Angela Anaconda are great to relax your minds with. It would also be nice if they play Spiderman again or replay Captain Planet, even though he can be very cheesy sometimes.

But nowadays many of the newer cartoons generally have more complicated plots lines, and seems to have a desperate fight against the popularity of Japanese Anime flooding into the market. I personnal think masking the cartoon by looking like anime won’t help solve the problem, plus many artist themselves are very much influenced by anime in the first place.

Anime and Cartoons bring different feelings and satisifisions levels like non of the wannabes can probably ever produce, and I sincerely hope that the animators and producers can put together better cartoons that ARE cartoons in the future.
